The VHI visually indicates a hit recorded by the target controller.
VHI Simulator
The environmentally friendly non-pyrotechnic Visual Hit Indicator (VHI) indicates a hit. Upon the hit, the VHI creates a harmless white cloud. As this is happening, the light on top of the unit turns on, illuminating the cloud. The VHI is enabled by a command from the TACF/RCU and can also be controlled directly by the target mechanism.
