This type of training facility is typically used to test and train snipers on the skills necessary to detect, identify, engage and defeat stationary and moving infantry targets.

This range with natural vegetation and obstacles is used to train individual soldiers on the skills necessary to align the sights and practice basic marksmanship techniques against stationary targets.  The range is designed for training Shot-Grouping and Zeroing exercises as well as crew served machine guns.

 Range Features:

  • 40 Advanced SITs (Stationary Infantry Targets)
  • 8 Advanced MITs (Moving Infantry Targets)
  • 4 firing positions
  • 4 shooter monitors
  • 1 Computerized Training Area Control Facility (TACF)

The computerized TACF plays training specific target training routines, scores results, provides immediate performance feedback to the using participants and allows a detailed after action review.
